Bijnor Accident: Truck and Canter Catch Fire, 2 Dead
A tragic road accident took place in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. A truck first hit a scooter rider. After the accident, the truck moved ahead and later collided with a canter.
The collision was so strong that both vehicles caught fire.
Two People Died
The truck driver, Nadeem, was trapped inside the vehicle and died in the fire.
The scooter rider, Kulwant Singh, was seriously injured in the first accident. He later died during treatment.
The canter driver and helper were also injured and were taken to the hospital.
How Did the Accident Happen?
According to the report, the truck was travelling towards Dhampur from the Noorpur side.
Near the SDM office in Dhampur, the truck hit a scooter. The scooter rider was badly injured.
The truck continued ahead. A short distance later, it collided with a canter coming from the opposite direction.
Fire Broke Out After the Crash
After the collision, a fire broke out in both vehicles.
Police and fire brigade teams quickly reached the spot. Firefighters managed to control the flames and rescued the people trapped in the canter.
However, the truck driver could not be saved.
Police Investigation Underway
Police have started investigating the accident. The bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem.
Officials are also trying to understand exactly how the accident happened and why the truck continued after hitting the scooter.
