The CJP (Cockroach Janta Party) has announced a new protest march in Delhi on September 5, 2026. The party claims that the government has failed to fulfil promises made to young protesters on July 25.
The peaceful march will start at India Gate and move towards the New Delhi Police Headquarters. Families of deceased NEET aspirants will lead the protest.
People who allege they faced police brutality will also join the march. In addition, CJP has asked students and young people from across India to participate.
Why is CJP protesting again?
CJP announced the march after a meeting of its National Working Committee.
During the meeting, members reviewed the progress made since July 25. They looked at the steps taken by the central government as well as BJP/NDA-ruled states.
According to CJP, the government made several commitments to young protesters on July 25. The organisation says these assurances led to the withdrawal of the nationwide youth protests.
Young protesters trusted those promises and ended their agitation, CJP said.
However, the party now claims that several issues remain unresolved even after nearly a month.
CJP raises questions over pending promises
CJP has accused the government of delaying action.
According to its statement, the government has used technical issues to delay the process. The party also alleges that clear commitments are still missing.
One major concern involves FIRs registered against protesters in different parts of the country.
CJP also referred to Supreme Court proceedings on August 18. According to the party’s statement, the court asked the Union government to provide a list of FIRs registered across India.
The court could then consider whether those cases should be clubbed together, the statement said.
However, CJP claims that the government did not give a clear commitment on the issue.
The organisation also says that a written assurance from the government is still pending.

CJP says patience should not be seen as weakness
CJP used strong words while explaining its decision to protest again.
The party said its patience should not be mistaken for weakness. It also said its trust should not give the government an opportunity to step away from earlier promises.
Therefore, the National Working Committee unanimously decided to hold a peaceful protest on September 5.
NEET families will lead the Delhi march
CJP has also explained how the march will be organised.
According to the statement, families of deceased NEET aspirants will walk at the front.
People who allege they suffered police brutality will walk alongside them.
Students, youth organisations and other young citizens will follow them.
Meanwhile, CJP has appealed to young Indians to gather at India Gate in large numbers. The organisation has stressed that the demonstration will remain peaceful.
CJP alleges ‘vishwasghaat’ with Gen Z
CJP has accused the government of committing “vishwasghaat”, or betrayal, with Gen Z.
The party says it returned to the streets because the July 25 commitments remain unresolved.
According to CJP, those promises were made publicly during a joint press conference. Young protesters then trusted the government and withdrew their nationwide movement.
Now, the organisation says that trust is at stake.
CJP argues that a government cannot ask protesters to return home and later step away from its commitments.
What is CJP demanding now?
The message behind the September 5 protest is simple: “Keep your word.”
CJP wants the government to honour the commitments that it says were made to young protesters on July 25.
The organisation has invited students, youth groups and young citizens from across the country to join the march.
Its statement ends with a direct mobilisation call: “5 September. India Gate.”
The September 5 march will mark CJP’s return to street protests after the earlier nationwide movement ended.
For now, attention will be on the government’s response. Delhi authorities may also clarify their position on the proposed march. Most importantly, it remains to be seen whether the two sides make any progress before September 5.
