Fake Air India Job Scam Busted in Delhi, 3 Arrested

Delhi Police have busted a fake Air India job scam in Laxmi Nagar. Three people allegedly ran a fake recruitment call centre and targeted job seekers with bogus airline offers.

Fake Air India Jobs Offered

The accused allegedly posed as Air India HR staff and offered ground-duty jobs. They then asked candidates for money for registration and other charges. One victim from Chhattisgarh reportedly paid ₹14,500 through UPI after receiving a job offer.

Police Arrest Three Accused

Following the money trail, police arrested a 30-year-old man from Laxmi Nagar. During the investigation, his questioning reportedly helped police identify two women, aged 24 and 21. Police suspect that all three ran the operation from the same area.

Phones and SIM Cards Recovered

Meanwhile, police recovered smartphones, keypad phones, several SIM cards and cash. Investigators are now checking the digital records and financial transactions. They are also trying to find more victims and possible links to the racket.

The case highlights the growing threat of fake recruitment scams. Therefore, job seekers should verify airline vacancies through official websites. They should also avoid paying unknown people who promise guaranteed jobs.
