During the investigation into the high-profile murder of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal, a fresh claim has come to light. Reports suggest that Ketan’s use of a hair patch (wig) may have contributed to strain in the relationship. Even so, investigators believe this cannot be treated as the sole reason and are examining several other angles in the case.
What Was the Full Case?
On June 18, 26-year-old Ketan Agarwal had gone trekking to Lohagad Fort near Pune with his fiancée Siya Goyal. Initially, his death was believed to be accidental. However, the police later concluded that it may have been a planned murder. According to investigators, Siya Goyal and her alleged lover Chetan Chaudhary conspired to push Ketan into a gorge and kill him. Both have since been arrested, and the investigation is continuing.
Father’s Reaction to the Wig Angle
Ketan’s father, Vishal Agarwal, has rejected the wig theory. He said that Siya and her family had been told about his son’s hair patch even before the engagement. According to him, if anyone had an issue with it, the relationship could have ended there, but no such concern could ever justify a murder.

Police officers involved in the investigation say the hair patch matter is definitely being looked into, but it cannot be regarded as the only motive behind the murder. They are also probing other elements, such as the relationship, family circumstances, and the alleged conspiracy.
