Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s old “cultural shock” video is going viral again. The video has resurfaced after the recent Jamui case in Bihar. Social media users are now comparing the two incidents.

PM Modi posted the video on July 31. He was speaking about abusive language used during a student protest at Jantar Mantar.
Modi said he was upset by the remarks made against him and his late mother. He called the incident a “cultural shock.” He also said that young people should be guided instead of simply being punished.
What Happened In Jamui?
The recent incident took place in Bihar’s Jamui district on September 19. A teenage boy and girl were allegedly stopped while returning from coaching.
Police said the girl was allegedly sexually assaulted. The boy was also allegedly beaten. A video of the incident later circulated online. Police registered a case under the POCSO Act. Three people were arrested.
Why Is The Reel Trending Again?
After the Jamui case, some social media users began sharing PM Modi’s old video again. They used his “cultural shock” remark while reacting to the alleged assault.
The comparison has sparked a fresh online debate. However, the two incidents are separate and are being investigated separately.
The Jamui investigation is still underway. Police have also formed an SIT to investigate the case and identify other suspects.
