Nagaland IED blast: One Assam Rifles jawan was killed and four others were injured after a suspected improvised explosive device (IED) exploded near Sukhovi in Nagaland’s Chümoukedima district. The attack took place close to the Assam Rifles Training Centre, prompting security forces to launch a massive search operation.
Nagaland IED Blast Targets Assam Rifles Vehicle
According to officials, the explosion occurred when an Assam Rifles vehicle was travelling near Sukhovi village on Monday. The suspected IED detonated as the convoy passed the area.
One jawan died in the blast, while four others suffered injuries. The injured personnel were rushed to a nearby hospital, where one was reported to be in critical condition.
Search Operation Underway
Soon after the explosion, security forces cordoned off the area and began an extensive search operation to trace those behind the attack.
