Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has entered its second week with a noticeable slowdown at the ticket counters. According to early trade estimates, Toxic Box Office Collection Day 8 stood at ₹5.10 crore net in India, taking the film’s domestic net total to approximately ₹234.70 crore.
Toxic Records Sharp Drop on Day 8
The film registered ₹5.10 crore net from 12,432 shows across India on its eighth day. This marked a decline of around 35% compared with its ₹7.85 crore Day 7 collection.
Toxic had opened strongly with ₹101.10 crore net in India on August 26. It collected ₹37.65 crore on Day 2, followed by ₹27.20 crore on Day 3 and ₹25.15 crore on Day 4. The numbers gradually declined as the film moved into weekdays.
After eight days, its India net collection stands at ₹234.70 crore, while the India gross is estimated at ₹280.25 crore. Overseas earnings have taken its worldwide gross to around ₹322 crore.
Mirzapur The Movie Brings Fresh Competition
The film now faces another challenge with Mirzapur The Movie entering theatres. Its performance over the second weekend will therefore be important in determining whether Toxic can regain momentum.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic features Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. The film has received mixed reactions from audiences and critics.
Despite the slowdown in Toxic Box Office Collection Day 8, the film has already crossed ₹300 crore worldwide and will now look to strengthen its theatrical run during the second weekend.
