NEET PG 2026 Re-Exam: 2,445 Candidates to Retake Exam on September 5 After Jaipur Technical Glitch

NEET PG 2026 Re-Exam has been announced for 2,445 candidates after a technical disruption affected the examination at two centres in Jaipur on Sunday. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) confirmed that the affected candidates will appear for the exam again on September 5, 2026, at 3 PM in Jaipur.
NEET PG 2026 Re-Exam Date and Time
The disruption occurred at two examination centres in the Sitapura area of Jaipur. Candidates were unable to complete their computer-based examination because of an internal power supply failure. NBEMS has apologised to the affected candidates and ordered a re-examination to ensure a fair opportunity for them.
The re-exam will be held on September 5 at 3 PM. The exact venue and further instructions will be communicated separately to the concerned candidates. Revised admit cards are also expected to be issued with the relevant details.
Over 2.65 Lakh Candidates Appeared Nationwide
The NEET-PG 2026 examination was conducted across 1,111 centres in 339 cities covering all 36 States and Union Territories. More than 2.65 lakh candidates appeared for the examination nationwide.
The Jaipur disruption, however, led to protests by affected candidates. NBEMS has also constituted a committee to investigate the technical failure. Reports of a question-paper leak circulated on social media, but officials rejected those claims as misleading.
What Affected Candidates Should Do
Candidates eligible for the re-examination should closely monitor official NBEMS updates. They should check their revised admit card and follow the instructions regarding the new examination centre.
The re-exam decision applies to the 2,445 candidates affected by the Jaipur technical disruption. Other candidates who completed the NEET-PG examination do not need to retake it.
