Jio Platforms Lists at ₹1,358: IPO Investors Gain Around 21%

Jio Platforms made a strong debut on the Indian stock market on October 28, 2026. The company’s shares listed at ₹1,358 each on the BSE, compared with the IPO issue price of ₹1,119 per share.

This means investors received a listing gain of ₹239 per share, or approximately 21.4%. The strong debut marked an important milestone for Mukesh Ambani’s digital and telecom business.

How Much Did Investors Earn?

Jio Platforms’ IPO received strong demand from investors before its stock market debut. The issue price was fixed at ₹1,119 per share, while the listing price reached ₹1,358.

Here is a simple calculation for investors who received one minimum lot of 12 shares:

  • IPO investment: ₹13,428
  • Value at listing price: ₹16,296
  • Listing gain: ₹2,868

These figures are based on the listing price and exclude brokerage, taxes and other applicable charges. The gain applies to investors who received shares in the IPO and sold at that price.

Jio Platforms IPO Received Strong Demand

The ₹30,213-crore IPO attracted strong interest from different categories of investors. The issue was subscribed more than 22 times overall, with institutional investors showing particularly strong demand.

The public offering was priced between ₹1,065 and ₹1,119 per share. Its successful launch attracted attention across Dalal Street because of Jio’s large customer base and its position in India’s telecom and digital services market.

Why Is Jio Platforms Important?

Jio Platforms operates in areas including mobile connectivity, broadband, digital services, cloud technology and artificial intelligence. Its large customer base gives the company opportunities to expand services and generate revenue from more digital products.

The stock market listing also gives investors a direct way to invest in Jio Platforms. Previously, investors looking for exposure to the business could consider its parent company, Reliance Industries, among other options.

What Should Investors Watch Next?

A strong listing does not guarantee that a share price will continue to rise. After its debut, Jio Platforms’ share price may move depending on market conditions, company earnings, competition and investor expectations.

Investors should also consider the company’s valuation and long-term business performance rather than making decisions based only on the first-day gain.
