BSF Shoots Dead Two Suspected Pakistani Intruders in Punjab

The Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead two suspected Pakistani intruders near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab on Friday, October 2. The incident took place in Tarn Taran district, officials said.

The two men were allegedly trying to enter Indian territory. BSF personnel noticed suspicious movement near the border and challenged them. However, the men reportedly continued moving towards the Indian side.

Two Intruders Killed Near Tarn Taran

The incident took place near the BSF’s Rajoke post in the Khalra sector of Tarn Taran. The area is close to the International Border.

According to officials, BSF personnel repeatedly warned the two men to stop. They allegedly ignored the warnings and continued moving forward. The BSF then opened fire after perceiving a threat. Both men were killed in the firing.

The identities of the two men have not yet been established. Officials are now carrying out further proceedings with the Punjab Police.

Bodies Sent For Post-Mortem

Following the firing, the bodies were handed over to the police. A post-mortem examination will be conducted as part of the investigation.

Officials are also expected to hold a meeting with Pakistan Rangers over the incident. Further details are awaited as authorities continue their investigation.

The latest incident highlights the continued security concerns along Punjab’s International Border. BSF personnel remain deployed along the border to prevent unauthorised crossings and other cross-border activities.
