Drishyam 3 Trailer: Vijay Salgaonkar Faces His Toughest Battle Yet

0 0

The story of Vijay Salgaonkar is returning with another dangerous turn, and this time, escaping the law may not be as simple as it was before. The trailer of Drishyam: The Conclusion, the third chapter of the Hindi thriller franchise, has arrived with Ajay Devgn once again stepping into the shoes of Vijay Salgaonkar.

But Vijay is no longer dealing with just one determined police officer. The new trailer introduces a much bigger challenge, bringing together Tabu, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj as three powerful forces standing against him.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the upcoming film is scheduled to reach cinemas on October 2, 2026.

Vijay Salgaonkar Is Running Out of Options

Vijay has always survived by staying several steps ahead of everyone else. His ability to think quickly, construct believable stories and protect his family made him one of Bollywood’s most memorable thriller characters.

However, the new trailer suggests that his biggest strength could finally be tested.

The Salgaonkar family has managed to live with the consequences of the events from the earlier films for years. But the past refuses to stay buried. Fresh evidence appears to be bringing the old case back into focus, putting Vijay and his family under renewed pressure.

This time, the atmosphere around Vijay is noticeably different. Instead of appearing completely confident, he seems to understand that the situation may be moving beyond his control.

Tabu’s Meera Wants More Than Justice

Tabu returns as Meera Deshmukh, the police officer whose personal connection to the case has kept her determined to uncover Vijay’s secret.

But the trailer gives her character a new emotional direction.

Meera is no longer simply looking for answers. Her pursuit has become deeply personal, with revenge now appearing to be a stronger motivation than justice. The death of her son Sameer continues to haunt her, and she appears more determined than ever to make Vijay pay.

Her return creates one of the most important links between the previous films and this final chapter.

Jaideep Ahlawat Brings a New Threat

The biggest addition to the franchise is Jaideep Ahlawat.

He plays SP Rajveer Singh Tomar of the Crime Branch, a new investigator who approaches Vijay’s case differently from the officers audiences have seen before.

The trailer makes it clear that Rajveer is not there merely to follow old evidence. He appears to be studying Vijay himself — his behaviour, his decisions and the way he has repeatedly managed to stay ahead of the investigation.

His presence changes the balance of the story.

For years, Vijay’s greatest weapon has been his ability to anticipate what the police might do next. Rajveer could be the person capable of disrupting that pattern.

Prakash Raj Adds Another Layer

Prakash Raj enters the story as lawyer Indrajith Shetty, adding another unpredictable character to the conflict.

His role appears particularly interesting because he understands that Vijay should never be underestimated simply because he is an ordinary, less-educated man.

That idea has always been central to the Drishyam franchise: Vijay may not have formal power, but he possesses something equally dangerous — an extraordinary ability to think under pressure.

With Prakash Raj’s character entering the picture, the conflict appears to extend beyond a straightforward police investigation.

Family Remains Vijay’s Biggest Motivation

Despite the growing danger, Vijay’s objective has not changed.

His family remains his priority.

Shriya Saran returns as Nandini, while the story once again revolves around the Salgaonkar family’s struggle to survive the consequences of their past.

The trailer suggests that Vijay knows the situation has become much more complicated. His earlier battles were largely games of planning and deception. Now, he appears to believe that luck itself could determine whether his family survives the latest crisis.

That shift gives the final chapter a darker tone.

A New Ending for Vijay’s Story?

One of the biggest attractions of Drishyam: The Conclusion is the promise of an actual conclusion to the Hindi version of Vijay Salgaonkar’s story.

Rather than simply repeating the familiar cat-and-mouse formula, the trailer hints at a confrontation involving multiple opponents, new evidence and a family that has spent years living under the shadow of one terrible incident.

With Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj sharing the central conflict, the film is clearly attempting to raise the stakes for its final chapter.

The question now is no longer simply whether the police can discover Vijay’s secret.

It is whether Vijay can create one final escape route when everyone around him seems determined to close every door.

Drishyam: The Conclusion is scheduled for theatrical release on October 2, 2026.
