The NEET UG 2026 Results have been announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The declaration marks the end of this year’s re-examination process. More than 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified for undergraduate medical admissions. Meanwhile, 138 students scored above 690 marks, highlighting the intense competition for MBBS and other medical courses.

Candidates can now download their scorecards from the official NTA website. The counselling process is expected to begin soon.

Top Performers Lead the Merit List

This year, Aryan Gupta of Punjab and Panshul Bansal of Haryana secured the highest score of 715 out of 720. The NTA used its official tie-breaking policy to determine the All India Rank.

The results also indicate a strong overall performance. According to the NTA, 138 candidates crossed the 690-mark barrier. This reflects the high level of preparation among NEET aspirants.

In addition, female candidates continued to perform exceptionally well. They accounted for more than 58% of all qualified candidates, showing their growing success in medical entrance examinations.

Counselling Process Begins Next

After the declaration of the NEET UG 2026 Results, qualified candidates should download their scorecards without delay. They should also keep all required documents ready for the admission process.

Admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and allied health programmes will take place through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the All India Quota. At the same time, state counselling authorities will manage admissions under their respective state quotas.

The detailed counselling schedule will be released separately by the concerned authorities.

Students Should Follow Official Announcements

The NTA has advised candidates to rely only on updates published on the official neet.nta.nic.in website. Students should avoid rumours circulating on social media and depend only on verified information.

Candidates are also advised to keep their scorecards, admit cards, identity documents, and other essential certificates ready. Doing so will help them complete the counselling process smoothly.

What Happens Next?

The NEET UG 2026 Results have opened the next phase of the admission process. With more than 11 lakh qualified candidates competing for a limited number of medical seats, the counselling process is expected to be highly competitive.

Therefore, candidates should regularly check official notifications, complete every admission form on time, and follow all instructions issued by the NTA and counselling authorities.
