Nayara Energy Petrol Price Hike: Petrol Rises by ₹5, Diesel by ₹3
Nayara Energy has increased petrol and diesel prices across its fuel stations from Saturday, October 3. Petrol prices have gone up by ₹5 per litre. Diesel prices have increased by ₹3 per litre.
The latest hike comes as global crude oil and refined fuel prices remain high. The company has increased prices to deal with rising costs in international oil markets.
Petrol Price Rises by ₹5 Per Litre
Nayara Energy operates more than 7,000 petrol pumps across India. The company has now increased petrol prices by ₹5 per litre at its outlets.
The latest increase follows changes in global oil prices. It also comes after several price adjustments by the company earlier this year.
Nayara had reduced petrol prices by ₹5 per litre in July. It also cut diesel prices by ₹3 per litre at that time. The latest hike reverses that reduction.
Diesel Price Increased by ₹3
Diesel prices at Nayara Energy outlets have also increased by ₹3 per litre.
The company has cited higher international oil and refined-product costs. Rising global energy prices have increased pressure on fuel retailers.
However, the latest increase does not apply equally across all fuel stations in India. State-owned fuel companies have largely kept their retail prices unchanged. This means prices can now differ between private and government-owned fuel outlets.
Why Did Nayara Increase Fuel Prices?
Global oil prices have remained under pressure because of disruptions in energy markets. Higher crude and refined fuel costs have affected the margins of fuel retailers.
The government has also recently asked private fuel companies not to restrict petrol and diesel sales at their outlets. The warning came after some private retailers faced supply and pricing pressures.
The latest Nayara price hike could increase the difference between private and state-owned fuel stations. Consumers will pay more when they refuel at Nayara outlets.
Further price changes will depend on international crude oil prices, refining costs and developments in global energy markets.
