Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra Appointed First CEO of Ram Mandir Trust
Retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra has been appointed as the first full-time CEO of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which manages the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The decision was taken at a Trust meeting on September 2, 2026.
Jeetendra Mishra has had a long career in the Indian Air Force. He served as the chief of the Western Air Command and retired in April 2026. He also played an important role in air operations during Operation Sindoor.
Mishra joined the Indian Air Force as a fighter pilot in 1986 and has more than 3,000 hours of flying experience. During his career, he held several important positions and received major service awards.
His appointment as Ram Mandir Trust CEO is an important change in the management of the Ayodhya temple. As CEO, he will look after the Trust’s administration, operations and other important work related to the temple complex.
The selection process reportedly received 5,585 applications, after which a panel of three candidates was presented to the Trust. Mishra was finally selected for the post.
