Faridabad Class 11 Student Dies After Fall From School Building

A 16-year-old Class 11 student died after falling from the third floor of her school building in Faridabad on Tuesday. The incident took place at Navodaya Vidya Niketan Senior Secondary School on Ghazipur Road. The student, identified as Jhanvi, was rushed to a hospital after the fall. Doctors later declared her dead. Police have started an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Family Makes Serious Allegations
The girl’s family has alleged that a teacher punished Jhanvi before the incident. According to her father, she had gone out to eat biryani without informing the school. The family claims that a teacher became angry after learning about it and made her stand in the sun for several hours.
The family believes the punishment left the student deeply distressed. However, the school has denied the allegation. Principal R K Sharma said Jhanvi was not punished. He said she left the classroom after telling others that she was going to the bathroom. She later reached the third floor of the building.
Police Begin Investigation
Police from the Dabua police station reached the school after receiving information about the incident. Officers inspected the premises and began collecting statements from teachers, classmates, school officials and the student’s family.
Police are now trying to establish what happened before the fall. They are also examining the claims made by the family and the school’s response. The exact circumstances surrounding the student’s death have not yet been established.
Investigation Continues
Inspector Sumer Singh, SHO of Dabua police station, said every aspect of the case is being examined. He said the investigation will help establish what happened and whether anyone was responsible.
The incident has raised concerns about student safety and disciplinary practices in schools. However, the police have not reached a final conclusion. Further action will depend on the findings of the investigation.
