NEET PG 2026 Cut Off Falls to 262, Check Category-Wise Marks

The NEET PG 2026 cut off has been released after the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) declared the NEET PG 2026 result on September 24. The General and EWS qualifying cut-off is 262 marks out of 720

NEET PG 2026 Cut Off Drops to 262

The General and EWS cut-off is set at the 50th percentile. General PwBD candidates need 244 marks at the 45th percentile. For SC, ST and OBC candidates, including PwBD candidates from these categories, the qualifying score is 226 marks at the 40th percentile.

The 2026 cut-off is also lower than last year’s 276 marks. This makes the latest qualifying score a major talking point among medical graduates waiting for postgraduate admissions.

Category-Wise NEET PG 2026 Cut Off

The category-wise qualifying marks are now available with the NEET PG 2026 result. Candidates can check their qualifying status and rank through the NBEMS website.

General/EWS: 262 marks

General PwBD: 244 marks

SC/ST/OBC: 226 marks

The qualifying cut-off only determines whether a candidate meets the minimum requirement. It does not guarantee admission to a particular MD, MS or DNB course. Admission will depend on rank, category, available seats and the counselling process.

NEET PG 2026 Scorecard and Answer Key

Candidates can check the NEET PG 2026 result through the official NBEMS portal. Individual scorecards are expected to be available from October 1, 2026. The answer key and recorded responses are also expected to be made available from October 1 or later.

Candidates should keep checking the official NBEMS website for updates on scorecards and counselling. The next major step will be the postgraduate counselling process for eligible candidates seeking MD, MS and DNB seats.
