The enforcement drive was conducted by the Town and Country Planning Department’s enforcement wing. Officials acted against unauthorised construction in stilt areas.
The drive found several major violations. Some stilt parking areas had reportedly been converted into entertainment spaces and private offices.
One property had around 500 square metres of stilt space converted for other uses. Officials found a projector room, bar room, bedroom, drawing room, lift lobby and additional toilets.
Authorities also found unauthorised floors being used as a paying guest facility. The facility reportedly had 28 rooms. All of them were sealed.
Nearly 500 Buildings Under Scanner
The action may not stop with these four properties. Officials have identified nearly 500 stilt-plus-four buildings across DLF phases for scrutiny.
The department is examining whether similar violations exist in these buildings. The crackdown has also raised concern among some property owners and residents.
Several residents’ associations are reportedly planning a mahapanchayat to discuss the ongoing action. At the same time, some residents have welcomed the enforcement drive and urged authorities to continue it
Road Encroachments Also Removed
The enforcement operation also targeted encroachments on government land. Four illegally constructed guard rooms were demolished.
Officials said the action helped clear nearly 1.5 km of road right-of-way.
