3,400 Lipstick Kisses on a Car Go Viral, Gwalior Man Gets ₹5,500 Challan

What started as a fun social-media stunt turned into an unexpected police encounter for a man in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. His car was covered with around 3,400 lipstick kiss marks, and the video of the unusual vehicle quickly went viral on social media. But the viral fame came with a ₹5,500 challan.

How Did the “Kissing Car” Become Viral?

The car belonged to Aditya Sikarwar, who reportedly wanted to create something unusual for social media. Inspired by a foreign social-media trend, his female friend covered the exterior of the car with thousands of lipstick marks.

According to reports, the process took around three-and-a-half to four hours, with approximately 3,400 marks placed across the doors, bonnet, boot and pillars.

The result was certainly hard to miss. The white car looked completely different from an ordinary vehicle and quickly attracted attention online.

The Reel Got Millions of Views

The stunt achieved exactly what its creator apparently wanted—the video went viral.

Reports said the reel received around 55 lakh views, bringing huge attention to the unusual car. However, the viral video was also noticed by the traffic police.

And that’s where the story took an unexpected turn.

Police Traced the Car

After seeing the viral video, Gwalior traffic police reportedly used the vehicle’s registration number to identify and trace the car.

Officials said the vehicle was spotted moving through the City Centre area and was subsequently traced to the Thatipur area. Police took action under their traffic-enforcement drive and brought the vehicle to the police station.

₹5,500 Challan Issued

The owner was eventually issued a ₹5,500 challan under provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Police also instructed him to remove the lipstick marks and restore the vehicle’s exterior.

In other words, the same stunt that helped the reel gain millions of views ended up costing the car owner thousands of rupees.

Why Did Police Take Action?

According to police reports, the issue was not simply the lipstick marks themselves. Authorities linked the action to vehicle modification and traffic-rule violations, with the viral footage also showing the car being used on city roads.

There has been some discussion online about whether the decoration itself was the main violation or whether the manner in which the vehicle was driven and used for the stunt was more important.

The Car Had to Be Washed

After the police action, the owner was asked to remove the thousands of lipstick marks.

The unusual “kissing car” therefore ended up being washed and returned to something closer to its original appearance.

Viral Fame Came at a Price

The incident has sparked plenty of reactions on social media.

For the creator, the stunt achieved its immediate goal: millions of views and massive attention. But it also demonstrated the downside of chasing viral content without considering traffic rules and public-road regulations.

The episode has become a funny example of how social-media fame can sometimes attract an audience you didn’t expect—the traffic police.

Final Takeaway

The Gwalior “kissing car” story is a perfect example of the risks involved in viral social-media stunts. Around 3,400 lipstick marks, millions of views and a ₹5,500 challan turned an unusual reel into a real-life lesson.

Going viral was successful—but the price of that virality was a police challan and a very long car wash. 😅
